The only requirement is that the foundation is reasonably flat. From there, we will level the building to the existing terrain (at one end) up to 4”. There is no need to for any additional foundation work such as gravel or concrete. While we can place the buildings on these types of foundations, they are not required for a sound and durable installation. Additionally, we supply enough wood block to level your building to 4”. The flooring in our buildings is well-suited for handling heavy power equipment, motorcycles, bulk storage, lawn and garden tools, sports equipment, and more. Our Garage style features AdvanTech® flooring and is constructed with 2”x6” treated floor joists, spaced 12” on center. All other models have ProStruct® flooring and utilize 2”x6” treated floor joists, spaced 16” on center. While our Garages are not designed for regular in-and-out automobile traffic typical of an attached garage, they can accommodate permanent automobile storage. If you plan on storing a vehicle permanently, we recommend placing a 3/4”x 2’x 4’ plywood piece under each wheel for additional support.
